History of Maansarovar :-

In the nikunja Leela Sri RadhaKrishna are two bodies but one soul thus, they can't stay without one another for even seconds. But for sakhi's Sri RadhaKrishna performed the Maan Leela.

'Maan' means 'anger' and 'Sarovar' means lake or pond hence this place is called Maan Sarovara, because Srimati Radha Rani came here in the mood of Maan. Maan is when Radharani pretends to be angry from Sri Krishna. On learning this Sri Krishna by masmerizing talk He made up with Sri Radharani. There is temple on the bank of this lake dedicated to Srimati Radharani.

Old legends of Mansarovar :-

Prabodhanand Saraswathi was a sage once He came to Vrindavan and met Parmanand Dasji a devotee of Sri Radhakrishna. Both had a debate about the divine Lila’s of Sri Radha Krishna but Parmandasji failed to convince about the hidden beauty of the Sri Radhakrishna Lila’s.

While debating Parmanandji he heard about Mansarovar thus, in curiosity he went to see the place on Baisakhi Poornima and stayed there at night. Being a sage he started meditating in the place where few cows were grazing. A while later he heard lion roars and snakes hissing but nothing spoiled his meditation. After seconds suddenly, a flash of breeze changes the atmosphere in silence and serenity. His heart got filled with ocean of peace which made Him fall asleep. The next day He found myself in Mathura where he was residing. Mansarovar left a great impact on His heart and to understand the divinity the place possessed He went to Parmanand dasji. Parmanand dasji took Him to Shri Hith Harivansh Mahaprabhu to help him understand the ‘Nitya Vihar’ or transcendental Lila’s of Sri Radha Krishna. On seeing and finding Him to be the right person Shri Mahaprabhu sermon and blessed him with the selfless devotion of Sri Radhakrishna. Thus, mansarovar has great powers which only experienced by selfless devotees.
