The holy month known as ‘Purushottama maas’ has commenced from 15th April. Bhakti and fasting done in this Adhik or Purshottama month gives the fruit of 1000 Kartika month fastings. This extra period that appears after every 3 years in the Hindu Calender is called ‘Purushottam Month’ also because it is a month that is very dear to Lord Krishna/Vishnu.
This Purushottam month everyday in Shri Radhavallabh Temple devotees will be bestowed to observe all festivals of the year. For eg: Diwali, Hariyali teej; Holi etc. You can watch daily webcast. In this month one should try to chant Sri Radhavallbhji’s name, have a Saatwik lifestyle and meditate of Divine’s lotus feet.
It is said that this year of 2010 the holy month of Purushottama Maas has appeared at a very auspicious constellation that will only appear again after centuries. Hope we lighten up our lives with Bhakti and Divine’s love to achieve the holy feet of Sri Radha Krishna.
