While performing Vrindavan parikrama for the first time , I was thrilled and excited to be at the Braj Bhumi and exclaimed to my guide that ” Just think that this is the place where Lord Krishna and Radha rani had spent their childhood” . Pat came the angry and irritated reply ” You used the past tense for Radha vallabh - are you blind can’t you see them in every nook corner , tree , The Yamuna and on the streets of Vrindavan” . It took me time to realise that for some Radha Krishna may be historical entities , but for the residents of Braj -they are ever present deities. Jai Jai Sri Rade , Jai Vrindavan.

It may sound funny, but I’m sure that as kids you may have atleast once questioned your elders that ‘Does God listen to our prayers, although we cannot see Him?’. And the answer has probably been ‘Yes’.
I guess so because the reason has been quite a valid one. In hindu culture the flame of lamp known as ‘Diya’, acts like a witness to whatever we pray; It is the sole visible observer of are thoughts and emotions. The Flame relates to the God of flame the ‘Agni Devta’ who acts as a messenger on Earth of our deeds to God Himself.
Thus one should trust one’s prayer and believe that god has send his messengers to this Earth who carry our feelings to him. He listens to us, cares for us and loves usp; hence will not let us down in time of need if we pray to Him selflessly.

A human soul is a blend of duty, faith, morals and divinity. The duties that one commits in his life are measured by qualities, otherwise known as Gunas. There are three types of Gunas “Saatvik”, “Rajas”, “Taamas”.
“Saatvik” is the supreme and best quality associated with pure and friendly deeds done for humanity with pleasant thoughts of wellbeing.
“Rajas” are secondary associated with one’s qualities associated with thoughts which revolve around desire and needs.
“Taamsik” are the lowest kind of qualities associated with deeds involving shrewdness, violence, and self centeredness.
As per the ‘Puraans’ and ‘Vedas’; these qualities are judged as per our lifestyle, behavior and the food we consume, which may not necessarily reflect a particular type in today’s world.
