I have been fortunate to be blessed by Mataji & Pitaji (Mrs & Mr Rajeshwar Gour, Hirankheda, Hoshangabad Dist, MP)and have been treated as one of their sons since about 12 years. The are devout RadhaKrishna devotees and followers of the Shri Nimbaraka Sampradaya, the one and only acharya peet of which is based at Salemabad, Rajasthan. The incident I would like to recall, pertains to the one that took place during the akhand kirtan on the Aoli Ghat on the banks of the Holy Narmada during the Radhashtami celebrations. My guru bhai (brother) was stung by a viscious looking black scorpion and was in severe pain. Even when approached Mataji did not pay any heeed and continued with the kirtan , but did apply sacred ash on the spot. The pain subsided after about 20 hours. I, for one was amazed at the power of mataji to heal evn such poison attacks. She however calmly replied that ” How can my son be harmed by the scorpion. The scorpion cannot possess any poison as it has been with us for the last few days immersed in the kirtan”.
