Emotion the mirror of Devotion!!- Part 3

Emotion the mirror of Devotion!!- Part 3

Emotion of ‘belief’ is the most powerful and the most vital emotion gifted to us by the divine. These emotions express that any form of existence is real or true only if you have true determination and thus become a mirror of devotion.

Divine is the creator, nurturer and destroyer of all its creations. Every particle on this earth is owned by divine. We think we own this body, but the truth is different-Lord is the owner of this soul and body its clothes. We wander in life for internal peace and contentment, but once tangled in the chaos of world we waste our life in tension resulting death which leads to rebirth. Shrimad Bhagwat Puran beautifully defines that surrendering yourself to the feet of divine is also Bhakti. The truth is you own nothing thus you can only surrender emotions, thoughts and your soul- In other words devoting oneself verbally, mentally and physically to divine to be one with divine.

An epic narrates the avatar of Lord Vishnu as Lord Vaaman was the sacred example of this. Raja Bali the king of demon clan had attained great powers because of which he conquered the world and heaven. Lord Indra and his subordinates left heaven to save them by hiding in a secret hide out. Lord Indra’s mother Aditi was sad thus requested her husband Kashyap Muni that if he could guide her how she could help Indra to win back his home. Kashyap Muni narrated a penance and in result God may bless her with help. Devi Aditi did it with full love and devotion on seeing this Lord Vishnu blessed her to be his mother. Then Lord Vaaman took Avataar on this earth he went up to Raja Bali where he was performing Ashmeva Yagya. He asked the king to give him land thrice the size of his sole; the king was amazed at his demand due to the dwarf size of the Lord. The moment king was going to vow for the deed his Guru warned him that the Brahman was none other than Lord Vishnu Himself. But the king refused to listen and continue with the ceremony. After the oath Lord increased His height; then he measured heaven with one sole, earth with the second and asked the king what He should measure with the third. The king was floored by God’s power, but to fulfil the vow he asked the Lord to put the third on his head; for every creature is His creation and every soul His boon. Lord was pleased at the king’s determination and gave the king the Sutal lok and His protection as a boon.

This story depicts that every tough situation of life is divines test and if one can cross over it with determination and a selfless heart; the person will surely get a reward for it.
